All students auditioning for lead roles will choose 'Musical' for term 4 sport selections.
In weeks 1-5 of sport time teachers will assist you in your preparation for your audition by teaching you songs from the musical and familiarising you with the characters.
Auditions will take place in Week 6, Term 4.
If you love to be on stage, this is your opportunity to shine! Fill out the form below. - Form closes Friday Week 9, Term 3, 2016.
All students accepted into the program will spend sport time in Weeks 1-5 of Term 4 having a lot of fun, learning more about the lead characters, learning to sing songs from the musical, playing drama games and learning some basic dance choreography..
Auditions will then take place in week 6 in Term 4 2016. To audition you will be required to sing a song from the musical and act out a scene given to you in advance to prepare. You only need one audition to be considered for all lead roles.
In the past we have had a lot of students interested in the lead roles., and many have been very surprised when they get a lead-role. You've got to be in it to win it! Give it a go.- you never know!
We hope that students that miss out on a lead role will still be very excited to join the cast as an ensemble member by becoming one of the town's people. or a dancer.
All roles in a musical are very important and all roles require you to sing! Only lead roles are required to sing solo's. and will be mic'd up. Ensemble singers voices get picked up by the over hanging mic's, hanging from the ceiling across the stage to amplify the sound. Most townspeople have small spoken roles.
